Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the single TLD planned for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to purchase john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired 3rd-level domains remained running.

You will have the chance to modify the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer key from the current domain service provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished.
